BMW is in the middle of its biggest product change in decades. Under its Neue Klasse ("New Class") program, BMW says new technology will reach 40 new models and model updates by 2027, and several of the models that matter most to Connecticut drivers are among the first. For shoppers in Darien, Stamford, Norwalk, New Canaan, Westport and Wilton, that raises a practical question: which new BMW is worth waiting for, and which one you can drive today.
Our team at BMW of Darien built this page to answer it. It lists only what BMW has officially announced, and we update it as BMW releases U.S. pricing and timing. Select any model below to learn more.
Each card shows where the model stands today. Select a button for full details, including our in-depth model guides where they're available.
MSRPs are BMW's announced starting prices for the base model and exclude destination and handling (shown separately), taxes, title, registration, options and dealer charges. Some images show European models. Specifications, pricing and timing are subject to change.
Here's the U.S. timing BMW has announced so far. Where BMW hasn't published a date or price, we say so rather than guess.

Neue Klasse, German for "New Class," is BMW's name for its new generation of design and technology. BMW iX3 was the first series-production Neue Klasse model, the BMW i3 sedan is the second, and the BMW iX4 SUV coupe is the third. BMW is also bringing Neue Klasse technology into other new models, including the 2027 BMW X5 and BMW 7 Series. For drivers, the most visible change is BMW Panoramic iDrive, a new display and control layout powered by BMW Operating System X. On the electric models, the key technology is sixth-generation BMW eDrive: an 800-volt architecture that supports DC charging at up to 400 kW on compatible chargers.
BMW launched the 2027 BMW iX3 50 xDrive in the U.S. on September 25, 2026, and it was named both 2026 World Car of the Year and 2026 World Electric Vehicle of the Year. BMW prices it from $61,500 plus $1,350 destination and handling.
For many Fairfield County commuters on I-95 and the Merritt Parkway, that means most charging can happen overnight at home instead of on the road. Real-world range varies with temperature, driving style and wheels, so winter range will be lower. See our BMW EV charging guide for home-charging options.
