Jim Scheckter is my client advisor and he was just great! Zero pressure with maximum dedication to the customer. Jim really makes you feel: o You the customer are first o the dealership is second o Jim is last (the sign of a great consumer advocate) I purchased my fully loaded 2015 435i X-drive w/ 64,000 miles and w/o a CPO. Jim explained how it is not CPO eligible because it is over 60,000 miles However, Darien preped the car as if it was CPO. They installed brand new tires on it. Resurfaced the chipped up wheels (at $250/wheel that Darien didn't pass on to me). Installed new tires and cleaned & polished inside and out. It essentially was a $59K MSRP car @ 59% off from new or $650 below NADA Retail. (NADA books are commonly found at your local library and used to figure the value of a car by government agencies). Final numbers: o Original MSRP: $58,950 o NADA Retail: $24,750 (condition = great w/mileage & having no CPO deducted) o NADA Trade-In: $21,675 (condition = great w/mileage & having no CPO deducted) o Asking used price: $21,975 + $799 conveyance fee ($200 of which is non-taxable DMV/gov't fees) I paid the full asking price because Darien was already selling the car underpriced and offering to fix (at n/c) every little scratch. (The Audi dealership was $5K overpriced on an similar A5 2-door manual-trans coup that I was in the market for.) BMW of Darien is unlike any other dealership I've experienced before! Although I normally and successfully negotiate the car prices down, I told Jim this isn't necessary as the price is already below NADA retail by $650 + I've got a 60-day dealership warranty + valuable freebie's like new tires, resurfaced rims, etc. Thanks Jim and BMW of Darien! My husband and I walked into BMW of Darien feeling a bit iffy, because dealership experiences haven't always been the best. But we were lucky that our salesperson was Jim - he was AMAZING! Instead of trying to sell us the car, he was just being there for us and that made us feel very comfortable in making our choice. This was my first car purchase in almost 18 years. Jim made the process very easy. He found the perfect car for me and facilitated the process seamlessly. Let's face it, car shopping can be a daunting and stressful experience, especially for a used vehicle. I went to several dealerships before I stopped in at BMW of Darien traveling from NYC. BMW dealerships in Brooklyn and NJ were unwilling to negotiate on vehicle prices and gave laughable trade-in offers. When I made a stop at BMW of Darien, I was not pressured to purchase - in fact, Jim treated me with professionalism and allowed me to drive the vehicle in a spirited manner even before taking down my information. After 30 minutes of inspecting and driving the vehicle, Jim made a deal for both the trade-in and the purchase. I left the dealership extremely happy and Jim took care of everything for me. The little details matter the most - I asked for an extra set of keys; he made it happen. I asked for weather mats; he made it happen. I asked if I can pick up the car the next morning; he made sure the vehicle was prepped and ready to go. I'll be coming back for my next vehicle purchase and service needs. I took to the internet since the experience with this dealership was such a bad one. With the exception of Anthony in finance, the rest of the people I worked with were unprofessional and disrespectful. Anthony was a gentleman.

She even stood outside with me holding paint samples, so that I could envision how the car would look. I had been looking for a 5 series wagon, 2010. We are wagon people. One popped up on their website so I called and spoke to Beverly. I told her I would be driving from New Haven and that I would be there in an hour. It actually took two because of the snow and a late start. When I arrived, the car was RUNNING, WARM, and CLEAN. Beverly was no nonsense and easy to get along with. On the test drive I was distracted and missed the exit. No big deal. While I was driving the wagon, they appraised my trade in and after maybe 20 minutes of haggling, we had a deal. I know I would lose money on my trade, but they did better than the national Goliath and took something off the new car too. I think most buyers go into a dealership knowing exactly what they want and don't need a long winded explanation of all the great features the car has. This is the internet age. Maybe the over 70 crowd needs that, but the rest of the population has their mind made up when they walk in the door. If the numbers work, and its time to buy, the deal gets done. Beverly was fantastic. Through intuition she deduced a) that I have kids (booster seat) and b) that I don't have a good umbrella (broken umbrella in back seat of my trade in). So, she brought me a box with a new umbrella and a nice plush teddy bear, and even gave me a set of rubberized winter floor mats. She told me to go next door and have some lunch while they drafted the paperwork and shortly after I returned, everything was signed with the finance guy and I was on my way home. Beverly was the highlight of my visit. She took me seriously and delivered. In my search for a vehicle, I have been to no fewer than 6 BMW and Mercedes dealerships and was barely spoken to at any of them. I don't know if its my age or my appearance, but no one seems to think I can afford a car. That's fine. When I found a salesperson that did take me seriously, I repaid her respect by buying from her without really haggling over a few dollars. The finance guy was a little brusque and showed no consideration for his fellow employee who made the sale.

My wife and I searched the tri-state area for a nice and affordable 4WD vehicle. We came across a great car on the BMW of Darien web-site. Convincing ourselves that the first car we looked at could not have been the best deal in the area, we kept searching. Even though I live in Greenwich, I'm glad I took the time to visit BMW of Darien. Sales Associate Beverly Clarke found me an X1 that had the options I was looking for all the way down in Georgia. However, when we were unable to locate that vehicle, business manager Anthony Martinez found a better-equipped X1 locally and matched the same price! Leased brand new 528xi 2013 -sales experience perfect. Sebastian is great. Service is completely worst. Car has serious engine problem and stalls all the tome witn 6800 miles. Service Manager called me back after many hours telling me I will need to wait 3 weeks for appointment with loaner. Told him unacceptable ,, he told me too bad. Now I don't know how a $60k car can have such a problem as serious as this, but where there is smoke there is fire. It prompted me to do some digging and did read some serious recalls on edmunds for BMW recent model years and engine bolts becoming loose causing serious engone issues. I suspect the dealer knows and simply because I am middle class and dont have 10 of these cars like every other stepford wife in this town and investment banker husband, he of course does bot want to assist me at all since i wont be paying him a christmas bonus annually. 3 weeks to secure a loaner? Really hiw dumb do a look? for a 60$ k car that wont start and dies for no reason kess a year old?

We walked into the dealership to check the showroom model of 7 Series. Vehicle was made available from service area and claus let us test drive right away. He was knowledgeable about the advanced features ( autonomous , adaptive cruise etc ). After the test drive there was zero pressure, or no heavy sales techniques or make us wait etc. when the kind of vehicle specs we didnt find, he offered to fetch or order. But we needed some time. Over all a great experience

When I picked up the car, Claus spent lots of time going over the car with me and explaining how the car options work. The financial transaction was easy, the paper work was organized, explained and completed in a short amount of time. I would be happy to send friends to this dealership!

I recently purchased my 2nd vehicle from Claus, following him to BMW of Darien after buying a car from him while he was at another dealership. Exceptional professionalism is how I would describe Claus and is the reason why I have returned to him for my recent purchase. His style is patient and through, very customer focused - with a genuine interest to ensure that I have every bit of information and take all the time I need to make a decision. From the first day I met Claus, I always felt that he made time for me and that I am an important customer. More importantly, I feel that I can trust him , that he is very transparent and a wonderful communicator. At the end of the day, I feel that Claus is a wonderful professional and someone who I would want to continue to work with. I have shared his name with several others and want to post this review to recognize his exceptional service...if in the market for a new BMW, I hope that the readers of this write-up will consider Claus and Matt's team at BMW of Darien. Yussef is the reason I purchased another BMW. He’s easy to work with, listens, rarely tired of my questions and routinely took the time to say hi when I came in for service appointments for my last car. I also appreciated that Tom would step out of his office to see how things were going (and not just to close a deal). Anthony also spent the time to provide his thoughts during a visit prior to picking up the car. All of this really does make a difference.
Those four words in the title are the only ingredients I look for in a car dealership, and BMW of Darien provides them in spades! I am not from Connecticut, so they took detailed pictures of the car I was considering, and went out of their way to make sure that when I arrive after a long trip, my expectations were met with the car I'd hoped for! Above and beyond, and Yussef is one of the few BMW salespeople who knows as much at BMWs as just about anyone (including me).
Traded in my 2008 BMW for a preowned certified 2015 model. Website was fantastic describing the car with all of the features, mileage, Carfax history, pricing and a video. Yussef was the salesman I dealt with and he was great and easy to work with. The trade-in value was fair and we completed a transaction quickly and I was in the car in two days. High compliments to the website detailing the used car inventory, Yussef and the entire team at Darien BMW. I highly recommend this dealership and Yussef.
Highly recommend this dealership in every way. I was very well taken care of by Yussef Warde, who carefully explained all my options to me (buy v lease), was clear, patient, helpful and provided quick and accurate regular updates as we organized the deal. We recently purchased a pre owned 4 series gran coupe. Youssef was our salesman ,(whom we highly recommend).He was very attentive and professional and followed through with everything he promised us. Al and Anthony the business manager were also very nice and helpful.The dealership is beautiful and they are all willing to help in any way. The process was very easy from beginning to end as they really take care of everything for you. I definitely recommend buying a vehicle from this dealership!

I recently purchased a used 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth and was very impressed with BMW Of Darien. When I walked in I was immediately attended to which I find is not always the case at a luxury car dealership. The staff felt very customer oriented and willing to work with me on any concerns I had about my purchase. They went out of their way to make me feel like I was buying a new car which I very much appreciated. I thought everyone was very fair and straight forward through the whole process and even though I wasn't buying an expensive car, I never once felt like an afterthought to their sales department which I think speaks a great deal about their customer service. Leased an X3 and turned in my wife's prior leased X3. Very pleasant as far as these things go. Another dealership had told us, repeatedly, that my the bar system for our ski box would not fit on the new BMW. That was proven wrong at Darien within minutes saving me that annoyance of yet another set of bars for our Thule Box. Overall Tim and his colleagues made the experience as pleasant and hassle free as possible.
This review is far overdue. Tim Haines is excellent. I have dealt with Tim on two acquisitions and a trade-in. In each case I felt completely confident he worked with me as well as he could to secure a favorable pricing. He's honest, earnest, knowledgeable, professional and very personable. I don't need to shop around with other dealers to trust that I am getting the best value possible. Given the choice, I would only ever work with Tim. As for services ... as I was writing this message I was on the phone with the dealership looking to schedule a service appointment, which they provided the next morning, with a loaner. That cannot be beat. .
